Jennifer discusses how recently she had home buyers finally finding their dream home, but ended up in a bidding war.

So, what do you do? Here’s how you win the house:

  • Waiving contingencies, it can be risking, however, can bring your offer to the front of the pack. At the end of the day the seller wants to sell, removing any possible roadblocks can benefit you.

  • Creating a connection, sometimes the seller can have an emotional connection with the buyer that can skew them to choose a specific home buyer.

  • Terms and conditions: It doesn't come down to the price that you are offering, price isn't always going to win a bidding war.

    • Being flexible can help you win over the bidding war. If the seller needs an earlier or later closing day, and you can accommodate, that can be very appealing to the seller.
